Anderson County LEPC Executive Committee Meeting - November 6, 2007
- Call to Order: Tony Hart called the meeting to order. Introductions were made. Minutes from the October meeting were approved as written.
- Treasurer’s Report: Janet Murrill reported on the LEPC budget.
- Committee Reports:
- Community Awareness:
- Lin Chilcoat reported that Anderson County Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan goals have been established.
- DOE Regional Emergency Management Forum in Oak Ridge had attendance of about 200.
- Emergency Response:
- Steve Payne requested the LEPC purchase hand-held radiological monitors.
- Transportation:
- Gail Hutchins reported that she had contacted Matt Cate at the Univerity of Tennessee regarding a study on truckers who bypass weigh stations by using I-95 as a bypass for hazardous material transportation. He stated that what we requested is cost prohibitive. Gail asked that this project be considered for a theses project next year.
- Finance:
- An audit was conducted prior to the October meeting. No deficiencies were noted.
- Community Awareness:
- Old Business:
- Anderson County Health Department has flu shots.
- Department of Energy toured the Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center and the hospital Command Center.
- New Business:
- DARTA meeting scheduled for November 16.
- The LEPC website has expired. An estimate to rebuild the website will be obtained.
- TEMA moved into its new building. Exercise with Watts Bar scheduled for 11/7/07.
