Anderson County LEPC Executive Committee Meeting - December 4, 2007
- Call to Order: Tony Hart called the meeting to order. Introductions were made. Minutes from the November meeting were approved as written.
- Treasurer’s Report: Tony Hart reported on the LEPC budget for Janet Murrill.
- Committee Reports.
- Community Awareness:
- DARTA meeting on 11/16
- Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center’s Pandemic Flu plan was presented.
- The Animal plan was discussed.
- Dr. Malagon was concerned about the lack of interest in Pandemic Flu. He discussed hosting a lunch to bring the topics to the community.
- Susan Gawarecki submitted a notice to the Oak Ridger for the January 8th annual meeting.
- State of Tennessee provided books for Pandemic Flu Planning for first responders.
- Emergency Response:
- Notices have been prepared for Tier II reporting.
- ICS 400 classes are being offered in Oak Ridge. Contact Laura Davis if interested.
- Susan Gawarecki sent out the Chemicals of Interest list to LEPC electronic mailing list.
- Transportation:
- No report.
- Finance:
- Tony Ferris presented ‘Masters of Disaster’ kit for K-8 education to LEPC. Kits are $15 each. Anderson County has 115 grades K-8. Tony asked the committee to consider purchasing one packet per grade.
- Community Awareness:
- Old Business:
- LEPC web site is gone. Will bring up for consideration in January.
- Oak Ridge Methodist Medical Center Emergency Preparedness plan has been approved resulting in NIMS compliance.
- Anderson County Health Department still has flu shots.
- New Business:
- Meeting time changed to 11:15 a.m.
