Anderson County LEPC
Executive Committee Meeting
August 5, 2008

1. Call to Order:  Janet Murrill called the meeting to order.  Minutes from the July meeting were approved as written.

2. Treasurer’s Report: There was one deposit in July from Rexnord.  There was one expense in July to the American Red Cross for 115 “Masters of Disaster” kits.

3. Committee Reports.

Community Awareness:
• There were 3 operational emergencies.
• The Site Specific Advisory Board will be at the October meeting.

Emergency Response:
• DART team will meet Thursday, August 7th at 7 p.m. in the EMA office.  The priority will be to establish a shelter for companion animals.
• IS 800 training scheduled for August 18; 6-8 p.m. at The EMA office.
• Clinton Family Practice had a mercury spill.
• MMC had a white powder incident on 8/3/08.

• No report

• No report

5. New Business:
Susan Gawarecki will pursue a joint meeting with Roan County LEPC.

DARTA will meet in October.

6. The next meeting is scheduled for September 9, 2008.
