Executive Committee Meeting
March 4, 2008
1. Call to Order: Tony Hart called the meeting to order. Minutes from the February meeting were approved.
2. Treasurer’s Report: none
3. Committee Reports.
Community Awareness:
• Weather spotter classes were conducted at TDEC
Emergency Response:
• ORNL exercise on 2/13. EMA had very little involvement except in the EOC.
• FEMA has decided that ICS 400 is not a required course for 2008. FEMA has also dropped the requirement for utilities to have ICS training.
• Carl McDaniel will no longer be area control for Anderson County. His responsibility is now in other counties, to include Blount, Grainger, and Union. Ken Fritts will now be the area control for Anderson County.
• MMC will be involved in an NDMS exercise on 4/21/08.
Transportation:
• No report
Finance:
• Committee chairs need to turn in their budgets to Joe Inman.

5. New Business:
• Pandemic Flu exercise will be held at Anderson County Health Department on 3/26/08 from 9 am to noon. Betty Dick distributed invitation letters to all LEPC members.
• Table top exercise will be facilitated by Jack Cochran. The exercise will assess Anderson County’s continuity of operations in the county with a 40% reduction in the work force, to include businesses and schools.
• TEMA responded to the tornado disasters in Middle Tennessee last month.
