Anderson County LEPC
Quarterly Membership Meeting
October 7, 2008

1. Call to Order:  Tony Hart called the meeting to order. Introductions were made.   Minutes of the September 9th meeting were approved as amended.

2. Treasurer’s Report: No deposits or expenditures in September.

3. Committee Reports.

Community Awareness:
• Fire Prevention week in Anderson County

Emergency Response:
• ICS 300 and 400 training classes will take place the first week of April.  Lynn Chilcoat will send out class dates by e-mail.
• NIMS count turned into FEMA
• Red Cross and TEMA were activated for hurricane Gustav.  Along with participation from VOAD, two shelters were set up in Knoxville.  Community chapters pooled resources to staff the shelters.  Knoxville received about 250 evacuees.

Transportation:
• No report

Finance:
• Annual audit will be conducted following this meeting.

4. Old Business:
EMA has submitted the bill for the hand-held RAD monitors for the Anderson County hazmat trucks.  A motion was made to reimburse EMA for the cost.  Motion passed.

5. New Business:
Oak Ridge Site Specific Advisory Board gave a presentation.

Tony Hart will compose a letter to DOE from the Anderson County LEPC requesting that the Emergency Forums continue.

DARTA meets Friday, October 10th at 1:30 p.m. at the Anderson County Health Department.
